FAQ and troubleshooting

Quick fixes for the most common problems, and answers to the questions owners ask most.

The agent is not connected

Work through these checks in order:

  1. Is the server enabled? In the server settings, Server enabled must be on. When it is off, the agent does not start or monitor the server and the dashboard shows that the server is deactivated. Use Activate to resume.
  2. Does the host appear? Open Admin, Hosts. Your machine should be listed and online. If it is not, the agent is not running or cannot reach Servitium.
  3. Is the service running? Check it on the machine and restart it if needed (commands below).
  4. Can the machine reach the internet? The agent needs outbound HTTPS access.
  5. Still stuck? Run the install command again. It is safe to repeat and keeps your host identity.

RCON authentication failed

An RCON authentication error rarely means the password is wrong. Most of the time, the install folder selected in the Center is not the folder the game server actually runs from, so the RCON settings were written somewhere else.

  1. Check the install folder of the server in the Center and fix it if needed.
  2. Make sure the RCON port is not used by another server on the same machine.
  3. Restart the game server from the Center so the settings are applied again.

Common questions

Does Servitium host my game server? No. Your server stays on your own VPS or dedicated machine. Servitium manages it through the agent.

Are my game saves uploaded? No. The agent reads the data it needs locally and only sends events and statistics.

Can I use Servitium without Discord? Yes. Discord is optional.

Which games are supported? Conan Exiles (UE5 and legacy UE4), Rust and Soulmask. See the guides for Conan Exiles, Rust and Soulmask.

Do mods work? Check the mods compatibility page for the current list.

How do players link their character? From your server page on the Portal, they register with their exact character name, get a short code and type !register <code> in game chat. They must have played on the server at least once.
