Conan Exiles

Servitium manages Conan Exiles dedicated servers on Windows and Linux: install and updates, RCON, live player data, raid protection, wars, shop and wipes.

UE5 or Legacy branch

Conan Exiles exists in two versions. When you add the server to a host, the setup wizard asks which one to run:

  • UE5 (current): the default Steam branch, the version most players have.
  • UE4 (legacy): the Steam beta branch kept for communities that stay on the older engine.

Servitium installs the matching branch and keeps it when it updates the game, so an update never moves you to the other version by surprise.

Important

Players must run the same version as the server. Tell your community which branch you picked, for example in your server description.

Exiled Lands and Isle of Siptah

On the current version, the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah are regions of the same world. The live map in the Center switches between the two, and player positions are placed on the right one automatically.

Ports, game mode and performance

The wizard proposes the usual ports: 7777 for the game, 27015 for the Steam query and 25575 for RCON. You can change them if several servers share the machine. You also choose the game mode: PvP, PvE or PvE-Conflict.

Performance settings (BattlEye, tick rate, CPU cores) live in the server's Performance settings in the Center. On Linux, BattlEye is always off because it is not available there.

RCON

You do not need to edit any configuration file. When the server has an RCON port and password set in the Center, the agent enables RCON every time it starts the game and writes the matching settings into the server configuration. RCON powers the live console, in-game messages, item delivery and kicks.

Note

An RCON authentication error usually means the install folder selected in the Center is not the one the game actually uses. Check the folder before changing passwords.

What Servitium reads and does

The agent reads the game's own save data and server log on your machine. Nothing is uploaded except the events and statistics Servitium needs. It tracks:

  • Players, guilds, guild members, levels and who is online.
  • Buildings and building destruction, used for raid tracking.
  • Player kills, for leaderboards and rewards.
  • Item decay on watched items.
  • Connections, disconnections and chat.

On top of that, Conan servers get guild leaderboards, raid protection, war declarations, thrall and guild management, admin logs, an activity timeline, wipe templates and the in-game shop. Players use chat commands such as !register, !buy, !claim and !rp.

Continue with Raid protection and wars or Wipes and restarts.
